L H KEITH, RETIRED SAWMILL OPERATOR, DIES
Most of Adult Life Was in This County.
> Lawrence Holland Keith, 84, retired sawmill operator, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Ben Dowell, seven miles northwest of Chillicothe, Sunday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock. Mr Keith had been in failing health for one year, and bedfast for the last two weeks.
> Lawrence H Keith, a son of the late Jacob and Mary Jane Frisby Keith, was born in Grundy County, May 19, 1866. He received his education in the rural schools of that county. He married Miss Mary Emma Clark at Chillicothe in July of 1892. They made their home in Chillicothe for many years, and Mrs Keith preceded her husband in death April 2, 1932. He later married Mrs Mary Josephine Thomas at Chillicothe in February 7, 1934. Mr Keith had lived most of his lifetime in Livingston County, and for many years operated a sawmill here.
> Surviving him is his wife, one daughter, Mrs Ben Dowell of R R 3, Chillicothe; two sons, James and David Keith both of Chillicothe; two brothers, Alfred M and Harry Keith both of Carthage, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded Mr Keith in death.
> Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the Norman funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the family lot in the Wheeling cemetery.
