Scott Michael Laser

Hard working family man who loved his family Scott Michael Laser, age 49, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Erie on July 7, 1961, son of Albert Laser and the late Zilla Baker Laser.

He was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing. He was a nurse at St. Vincent Health Center Rehabilitation Unit for 30 years.

Scott loved to golf, go fishing, camping and anything else as long as he could be outdoors.

His wife and children were his life and he loved spending time with his family.

He loved to garden and always had an abundance of fresh vegetables.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Fern Laser.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Laura Keil Laser; one son; Patrick of Erie; four daughters, Sarah, Kathryn, Jessica, and Rebecca, all at home; a sister, Susan Schuschu of Fairview; his mother and father-in-law, Patricia and Charles Keil of Fairview; five brothers-in-law; Rick Schuschu of Erie, Steven Keil and his wife Julie of Ill., Matt Keil and his wife Anne of Philadelphia, Pa., Greg Keil and his wife Beth of Fairview and Jason Keil and his wife Amanda, of Girard; sister-in-law, Jennifer Gourley and her husband Craig of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7100 West Ridge Road, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Reverend Scott Detisch officiating.

Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
