Wauree Chilcoat was called home to the Lord on April 20, 2004, leaving behind many friends and loved ones. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife for forty seven years to Thomas Chilcoat who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, LeaAnn Adkins and husband Gerry, Mark Chilcoat and wife Debbie, Alfred Eisaian and wife Sabine; six grandchildren, Lauren and Thomas Adkins, Mark and Stephen Chilcoat, and Arine and Sebu Eisaian; two brothers, J.N. Hawkins and wife Ruth, and Foy Hawkins. She also left behind many other relatives and friends who she very much loved and cherished. Wauree graduated from Elmore City High School, earned her bachelors degree from Central State University, and worked towards her masters degree at Oklahoma City University. She was an active member of the Capitol Hill Church of Christ, where she thoroughly enjoyed attending services and fellowship with other members of the congregation. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she gave herself to them in every aspect possible. She volunteered and attended their school activities, from preschool through college. She took pride in each of their achievements as if they were her own. She loved people and had many friends who considered her family. She relished her frequent lunches and outings with her life-long friends, and planned visits to those who had moved far away. She was always there for her family and friends. She had impeccable taste and everyone looked to her for advice and help in planning their weddings, baby rooms, or decorating their homes. She was a devoted, friend, and the source of dependability, comfort, and love for many family, friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 104th & S. Walker.
