SHARON KAY BLACKBURN, 66, of Westerville, formerly of New Boston, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born August 18, 1944, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Jesse and Clarice Everman Blevins.

She was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a retired Missionary from the World Gospel Mission of Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Kathrine Clifford and Thelma Swanson.

Sharon is survived by a son, Barry Blackburn of Columbus, two daughters, Cheryl Workman and husband Jim of Clearwater, Florida, and Alyssa Beverick and husband Brett of Johnstown, Ohio, three brothers; Glen Blevins of New Boston, Lee Roy Blevins of Minford and Jay Blevins of Dayton, three sisters; Luci Colley and Bonnie Riddlebarger, both of Dayton, and Lillian McCleese of New Boston, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
