COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Vaden L. Randolph, 79, of Cookeville, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 9, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Randolph died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at his residence.
Cookeville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Vaden Randolph, 79, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 9, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Randolph died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Putnam County to the late Virgil and Myrtle Walker Randolph.
Mr. Randolph worked for 37 years with GTE. Telephone Company (Verizon) as a PBX installer/repairman. He served his country well in the Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Summerfield United Methodist Church and he loved the Lord first and foremost and loved to farm and care for his cattle while growing a garden. Vaden was a loving husband, a cherished father, grandfather and a friend to so many.
His family includes his wife of 58 years, Doris Boles Randolph of Cookeville; a son, Ronald Randolph and special friend, Cindy Jaquith of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Sara Huneycutt and husband Troy of Sparta and Jessica Webb and husband John of Monterey; four great-grandchildren, Olivia and Abby Webb and Brooklyn and Holly Huneycutt; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Tommy and Jean Randolph, Verble Randolph and special friend Tammy West, Joe and Judy Randolph and Bobby and Sandra Randolph; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Ray and Ruby Pharris and Lois Vickers, all of Cookeville; special nieces Connie and Kelly Ramsey and Cathy and Larry Rodgers, all of Cookeville, and Vickie, Wayne and Cody Lowe, all of Baxter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Simp Walker and Tom Randolph, and a brother-in-law, Gene Vickers.
Pallbearers will be Ray Pharris, Wayne Lowe, Larry, Jason and Ben Rodgers and Buddy Whitson.
Pastors Tommy Harris and T.J. Bennett will officiate at the services.
