Hope Lee Hill, 84, widow of George Alton Hill, died Wednesday, 4 Oct. 1989. She was born in Whiteville, N. C. and was the daughter of the late Oscar Lee Hilburn and Ellen Powell Hilburn. She was retired from Belk's Dept. Store in Mullins, S. C. and had retired as an assistant to her husband at the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in Mullins. Known as "Nanny" to us, she cooked wonderful Sunday dinners for the family and made birthday cakes for her grandchildren and great grandchildren for many years. She was a wonderful grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, June Hill Jarrett, three grandchildren, Sandy Huggins McCaskill,Nancy Huggins Staton and James William Huggins, Jr. and three great grandchildren, Joey Staton, Trip Nesmith and Nancy Hope McCaskill.
