In the name of God amen, The last will and testament of George Ott of the township of Ayr, in the County of Fulton and State of Pennsylvania, USA, I George Ott considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following (that is to say: First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Ott, during her natural life the one equal third part of all the proceeds from all of my Real Estate whatever, to be paid annually in the produce of such grain of all kinds) my Real Estate or its equivalent in cash as my said wife Elizabeth may desire.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, two Cows, two Hogs, four Sheep, all of her own first choice.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, all of the Fowls and Barnyard Poultry, also as much Household and Kitchen furniture as she may need for herself and family, all to be of the first, and her own choice.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, as much of the bedding of her own first choice, as she may want for herself and family during the minority of my surviving children, and her own lifetime.

Item, It is my will, and I hereby order, that after my death, all of my real Estate whatsoever be rented out to the best advantage during the lifetime of my said wife, each and every year, any surplus remaining of its proceeds, after deducting the renter's and my widow's shares, which surplus may be as much as one sixth part of the whole yearly proceeds, shall be paid out yearly, share and share alike to those of my surviving children, who have attained their majority, or their heirs. And those of my surviving children, who may yet be in their minority, it is my will that their share of said surplus, be put out at lawful interest until they attain full age, when the whole amount shall be paid them. After which their share of said surplus shall be paid yearly as above directed.

Item, It is my will and I hereby order, that as soon as may be after my death, an appraisement and sale of my personal property be made, after supplying my widow as herein before directed, and after all necessary expenses, and all my just debts are paid; the balance (if any remains) shall be applied in manner and form as is provided for the application of the above mentioned surpluses.

Item, it is my will that my said widow shall keep those of my surviving children under age in boarding, clothing and lodging; and school them to the amount of her means and opportunity until they arrive at full age, at her own proper expenses, she my said widow being entitled to all their earnings during their nonage.

Item, and after the death of my said widow it is my will and I hereby order that all of my real estate, together with all of the real and personal property of my said widow be sold to the best advantage, and all of the proceeds arising there from be paid share and share alike to my surviving children or their heirs or assigns Viz. Catherine Ott, intermarried with Philip Creighbaum, Elizabeth Ott, intermarried with Frederick Peffer, Margaret Ott, George Ott, Samuel Ott, Sophia Ott, Nicholas Ott, Daniel Ott, Phillip Ott, Susan Ott, John Ott. And lastly, I do hereby appoint the within named Frederick Peffer, Executor and my beloved wife Elizabeth, Executrix of his my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

Fulton County, ls | Personally appeared before the Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County, Jared Irvine & John Commerer, subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of writing, purporting to be the last Will and testament of George Ott, who being duly sworn saith that they were present and saw Testator sign the same by making his mark; and heard him pronounce and declare said instrument of writing as his last will and testament, that he desired them to witness the same; and that they witnessed the same at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, and at the time of so doing, they believed testator was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
