MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — Harry E. Weatherman, 87, of Arcata, Calif., died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in McKinleyville, Calif. Graveside services will be held Friday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.

Mr. Weatherman was born March 5, 1923, in La Grande to Harry E. Weatherman, Sr. and Mae Weatherman. He graduated from Baker High School while living in Durkee. During World War II he served in the Navy, enjoying 29 Palms, Calif., after being injured. He was discharged in January 1946. He retired from operating engineers and loved his work on heavy equipment.

Mr. Weatherman is survived by his loving daughters Donald Rae Webber, of Hannibal, Mo., Peggy Ann Stichler of Crescent and Maralee Davis of Arcata, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Weatherman.
