She was born in Birdsall, NY, on July 6, 1915, a daughter of the late Michael and Ida (Welch) McGuire. She was also predeceased by her husband, Myrl "Gunny" Yencer, a son in-law, Lynn Weidman, and siblings, Nora Mastin, Ida Bugman, Mary Dodge, Leonard, Jack, Michael Sr., and Jay McGuire.
Agnes was a longtime foster grandparent at Craig Developmental Center, the Creekside Home in Nunda and was active with the Belmont Green Thumb Program. She had also worked in the cafeteria at Swain Ski Center for ten years.
She is survived by her children; Terrance Yencer of Alden, Marilyn Weidman of Swain and Linda (Jon) Shay of Dansville. Two sisters, Beatrice Carney of Dansville and Helen (Bob) Shoemaker of Nunda; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
