Harry Otto Claytor, 50, of Lyndhurst, died in McGuire Veterans Hospital, Richmond, at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Claytor was born on July 19, 1918, in Augusta County, a son of Mrs. Ada Baber Claytor and the late Kenneth R. Claytor.
He was a veteran of World War II and a former employe of Waynesboro Nurseries, Inc.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Mrs. Sidney (Hazel) McCauley of Jamestown, N. J., Mrs. William (Virginia) Matthews of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Martin of Roanoke, Mrs. Tom (Lorine) Zimmerman of Stuarts Draft, and Mrs. Hollis (Erma) Morris and Miss Edna Claytor, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Leon Claytor of Lyndhurst, Stuart Claytor of Crimora and Oscar Claytor of Waynesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Memorial Chapel of McDow-Tyree Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Shumake. Burial will be in Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Crimora.
Active pallbearers will be Carl Baber, Wade Baber, Frank Claytor, Malcolm Cook, Dewey Claytor and Malcolm Claytor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Alford, Melvin Baber, William Baber, Harley Gochenour, Roger Gochenour, Bobby Claytor, Donald Claytor and Malcolm Cook Jr.
The family will receive friends at McDow-Tyree Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
