Burial of Mrs. Thompson.
The remains of Mrs. W.F. Thompson arrived in this city on the 4:30 train from Denver, Friday evening. They were shipped from Stetson, Me., taken to the home of W.F. Thompson in Denver, where religious ceremonies were performed and sent to this city for interment. The body was met at the station on its arrival beer by a large number of relatives and friends and escorted to Linn Grove cemetery where the last rites were observed, administered by the Rev. Willis G. Clark, pastor of the Baptist church, in lieu of the Rev. John G. Reid, who was absent from the city.
Since the interment of Mrs. Thompson, news has been received by her relatives in the city that her death was caused by violence instead of suicide. The motive for the murder is supposed to have been robbery and the body was placed in the water to divert attention from the real cause of death.
There are certain facts in the case that substantiate this belief, but for reasons cannot yet be made public.
