She married Raymond R. Grothen on February 22, 1943 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was a homemaker and a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church Women and Modern Homemakers Club.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Arthur Jacob & Ernest James Theesen and sister, Martha Theesen Coulter.
