Charles R. Crosby
Brooklet - Charles Randell Crosby, 24, drowned Sunday while swimming in the Ogeechee River near Guyton.
The Bulloch County native lived in Brooklet most of his life. He was employed by Sheppard Lumber Co. of Brooklet and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Statesboro.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Crosby Jr. of Brooklet; two sisters, Mrs. Joan Bowen and Miss Lisa Ann Crosby, both of Brooklet; and his paternal grandfather, Charles L. Crosby of Brooklet.
Funeral: 4 p.m. today at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, burial in Harville Baptist Church Cemetery near Denmark.
