Obituary of Christian B. Risser
Retired Farmer of Lititz Bank, Sucumbs at Eighty-One

"Christian B. Risser, eighty-one, 301 N. Broad Street, Lititz, died at 11:50 A. M. yesterday at his home after a lingering illness. Mr. Risser was a retired farmer and was a director of the Farmer's National Bank Lititz since its organization in 1901. He also served as vice president for the past ten years. He was treasurer of the Consumers Box Board and Paper Company, Lititz, until it was held to the present management.
"He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Wissler Risser, a son, Jacob W., near Lititz; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. John Bucher, Ephrata; Mrs. Annie Lehman and Elam B. Risser, both of Lititz. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive."

"Risser.-Christian, son of Henry and Barbara Risser, was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., April 15, 1857; died at his home in Lititz, Pa., Feb. 27, 1939; aged 81 y. 10 m. 12 d. As a young man he united with the Mennonite Church and was a faithful member until death. He was married to Lizzie I. Wissler. To this union were born 2 sons and 1 daughter. One son, and one daughter preceded him in death, leaving 1 son (Jacob W. of Lititz), 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He has been in failing health for some time.
He is being missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services were held at the home by Amos Horst while Jacob Hershey and Amos Horst held the services at the Lititz Mennonite Church. Interment in the Hammer Creek Cemetery.
