Jacob Risser, Farmer, Dies
"Jacob W. Risser, 88 of 301 N. Broad St., Lititz, died at home at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday of a heart attack. He was the widower of the late Edna Buchen Risser who died in 1947. Born in Warwick Twp., he was a son of the late Christian B. and Lizzie Wissler Risser. He lived in the Lititz area his entire life and he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Hammer Creek Mennonite Church, and was a former trustee of the church. He is survived by eight sons and daughters: They are Carl B., Lititz; Paul B., Lancaster; Leon B., Lititz; Miss Edna M. Risser, at home; Lillian I., wife of Ivan M. Weaver, Leola; Ruth B., wife of Elwood Hershey, Lititz R2; Kathryn F. wife of Alton Hoffman, Shillington; and Robert B., Lititz. In addition, 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren survive."
