Prynne was riding in a car with his friends from the Princeton Triangle Club. They were in NYC and returning to Princeton, NJ. It was late at night. They were all very drunk. The car sideswiped an El (Elevated Train) concrete standard just as Prynne had his head out the window (as he was very sick) cutting his jugular vein. He died immediately.
