Chester Upp, Former Moose Governor, Dies PORTLAND - Chester A. Upp, 70, 603 E. Walnut St., died Friday (March 11 1977) at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was a retired employe of Sheller-Globe after 43 years of service.

A Jay County native, Mr. Upp was a World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post 211, a past governor of the Moose Lodge and a holder of its Legion and Fellowship degrees, and Indiana Firefighters Association. Survivors include his wife, Lannie; a daughter, Mrs. Willfred Morrison, Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, James Upp, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Donald Upp, Dayton, Ohio, and Orville Upp, Rochester; three sisters, Mrs.

Mary Peters, Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Carl Lewis, Portland, and Mrs. Susan Compton, Portland, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Rev.

Joe Hines officiating. Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
