Richard Francis (Rick) Fahey, 86, retired Naval Shipyard worker of 228 Henry Street, died yesterday at 2:10 p.m. at a Portsmouth hospital. He had been ill two weeks.
He was a lifelong resident of Portsmouth, a son of the late Patrick and Mrs. Catherine McTigh Fahey and husband of the late Mrs. Mary Della McCarris Fahey.
Mr. Fahey was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Leach, of Newport News, and Mrs. John T. Hansen and Mrs. Nellie Drew, of Portsmouth; two sons, William J. Fahey, of Portsmouth , and Richard T. Fahey, of Brooklyn, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Halligan, of Portsmouth, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Richardson and Foster Funeral Home, pending funeral arrangements.
