Born in Fernandina, son of Matthew Hooper and Rosabelle Floyd, graduate of Fernandina High School. Resided in Lake Charles, LA for over sixty years working as a shrimper for Smith Fisheries. Member of St Paul's and St Michael Catholic Church, both in Fernandina Beach. Survived by two daughters, two grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Services were conducted on Nov 22 from the Burgess Chapel of Oxley Heard Funeral Home, officiated by Deacon Art Treadwell.
