Linda Carol Hoese, 57, of Marianna died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at her home. A native of Franklin County, Ill., Hoese had resided in Marianna for many years. She was a former postal employee in New Haven, Conn., a former Covenant Hospice Volunteer and was employed at Jackson Hospital. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, where she was in the nursery ministry. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Reid. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hoese of Marianna; two sons, Christopher Marlo and wife Cindy of St. Charles, Mo., and Steven Marlo and wife Tammy of Sesser, Ill.; two stepsons, Max Hoese of Branford, Conn., and Scott Hoese of East Haven, Conn.; two stepdaughters, Dawn Duhon of Colorado, and Janetta McCoy of Greencastle, Ind.; one brother, David Reid of Boca Raton; one stepbrother, Rod Allen of Chesapeake, Va.; two stepsisters, Susan Allen of Clearmont, and Kathy Tyler and husband Bob of Lynn Haven; her mother and stepfather, Lula Mae and Sam Allen of Camden, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Eastside Baptist Church, with Dr. Steve Canada officiating; burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, with James and Sikes Funeral Home - Maddox Chapel directing.
