Marciano Gold Malonzo, 94, of the 400 block of Washington St., a retired Navy chief petty officer, died June 24, 1992, in his home.

Mr. Malonzo was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippine Islands.

He had retired from the Navy as a machinist mate after 32 years and had retired as a machinist helper from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 38, after 10 years. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 166; Knights of Columbus 418; and Filipino American Veterans of Tidewater. He was a veteran of World War I and World War II.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and was the widower of Grace F. Malonzo.

Survivors include a daughter, a son, a stepson, 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Slowik and the Rev. Leo Manalo. Burial with military honors will be in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m. today in Foster Funeral Home.
