Thursday February 9, 1905 The family of Jochin[sic] Ingwersen, living a short distance west of Clinton, is terribly stricken with black diphtheria. A few days ago Mrs. Ingwersen died of the disease and during the night a 5-year-old child passed away.
Seven other children are ill, the condition of some being extremely critical.
The place has been quarantined by the county officials and an investigation will be made as to the cause of the disease.
