John Hiser, Clark District, Dies at 64 (sic)--John W. Hiser, 67. a resident of Clark school district all his married life, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, in Burnham hospital, Champaign.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the St. Joseph Methodist church. Burial was in Mayview cemetery in charge of Freese funeral service.
Mr. Hiser was born Dec., 13, 1878, at Ramsey, Ind., son of Christopher and Margaret Hiser, and was married Dec. 23, 1903, to Nellie Freeman at Ogden.
The couple lived on a farm southwest Ogden until 1944, when they moved to St. Joseph. He was a former member of the Lutheran church, but had transferred is membership to the St. Joseph Methodist church.
Surviving are four children, Juanita at home; Glen and Chester, Ogden and James, Long Beach, Cailf., in the merchant marine; two sister, Mrs. Alice Emberton, Hoopeston, and Miss Ida Hiser, Chicago, and two brothers, J. E. Hiser, Urbana, and George Hiser, Louisville. There ate two grandchildren.
