SAFFORD -- Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda Tennesee Foote, 73, who died Tuesday in her home here, will be at 3 p.m. today in the Layton Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Burial will be in the Safford Cemetery
Mrs. Foote was born at Lonoke, Ark., and had lived in the Safford area 68 years.
She is survived by her husband,Orson F., five sons, Lewis B., of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico; Warren P., of Mesa; D. Ray of Nampa, Idaho; Donald A. of Safford; and Gerald A., of Las Vegas, Nevada; six daughters, Mrs. Laura Layton and Mrs. Ruby Farley, both of Safford; Mrs. Myrtle Higgins, of Thatcher; Mrs. Reba. Hicks, of Tempe; Mrs. Elaine Stephens, of Nyssa, Ore.; and Mrs. Barbara Carnes, of Clarksville, Ga.; 51 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.
