passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was a 79 year old native of Montgomery County, a veteran of the Korean War, retired US Postmaster after 29 years, Montgomery County school board member, used car dealer, Western Pioneer Life Insurance salesman, farmer, and a member of Hope First Church of God. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Stull Wingate, and a son Jim Wingate (Libby Johnson) of Hope, a daughter, Becky (Randy) Crump of Flemingsburg, 3 grandchildren, Matthew Wingate, Hannah and Joshua Crump, 2 brothers, D.C. (Louise) Wingate of West Virginia, Lewis (Betty) Wingate of Mt. Sterling, a sister, Faye (Paul) Toy of Mt. Sterling, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be 2:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Fortune Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Tuesday. Contributions are suggested to Hope First Church of God
