Cecil Jack Hollingsworth, 88, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2003.

He was born Sept 21, 1915, in Stringtown, Oklahoma to Edgar Allen Hollingsworth & Norah O. McIntosh.

"Jack" moved to Odessa in 1932, and lived and worked all over the globe. He proudly served his country during World War II and dedicated his life to helping individuals make the world a better place.

He was head of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 239 and later was active in the Silver-Haired Legislators—a self described "Yellow Dog Democrat", he believed in God, his country and the goodness in all people.

Jack is survived by three sisters: Bea Uribe and Vera Resch, both of West Covina CA, and Ruby Leslie of Oklahoma City OK; his daughter, Dee Mabry Ryan, an accomplished author and poet; and his grandson, Jamison Ryan, a successful actor and filmmaker. Both are very grateful to Jack for his love and support and would not be who they are today if not for the amazing grace of Cecil Jack Hollingsworth, one of the finest men you could ever know.

Jack was married to Naomi Lois Williams from October 1, 1949 until the dissolution of their marriage, February 28, 1980. He then married Virginia E. Phillips on August 1, 1980.

Graveside services were held at 11 AM Monday, December 15, 2003, at Rosehill Cemetery. Service arrangements were entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
