A native of Umatilla, he moved to Ocala from Williston in 1957. Mr. Hickox was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 286, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Shriners; director and past president of Cooperative Food Distributors of America; director of Shufine Central Corporation; past president of Southeastern Food Cooperative and Boys Club of Marion County.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Hickox, Ocala; daughters, Sandra Link, Greenville, Tenn., Cindi Jones and Sonja Ray, both of Ocala; son, Charles H. Hickox Jr., Ocala; brother, Milton Hickox, Hawthorne; and five grandchildren.
