Mrs. Carrie C. Young, 85, of 251 West Neck Road, Huntington", passed away at the Huntington Hospital on October 10. She was the daughter of George Woodhull Conklin and Sara Buffett. She was born May 9, 1880 in Oyster Bay, and moved to Huntington at the age of four. In 1907 she married William G. Young, captain of the steamer "Huntington", who died In 1918. Mrs. Young was a member of the Ellsworth Rebekah Lodge, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a long-time member of the Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son, Woodhull B.; daughter, Carolyn Y. Hatch, and seven grandchildren. Religious services were held yesterday afternoon at the Fasbender -Tooey Funeral Home, with the Reverend Richard L. Schlafer of the Central Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial at the Huntington Rural Cemetery followed.
