Raymond Asprer, residing at 514 Second Street, a retired Navy steward, died at 5:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon in a local hospital after an illness of a few weeks. He was a native of Philippine Islands but had been residing in Portsmouth for the last 15 years. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Maria Serbitillo Asprer.
Mr. Asprer is survived by two sons, Patricio Asprer, of Washington, D.C., and Raymond Asprer, of this city; two daughters, Misses Norma and Elsie Asprer, of Portsmouth.
The body was removed to the Brennan Funeral Home, 711 Washington Street, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock at the Brennan Funeral Home.
