Mrs. Mary Todd Died Tuesday
Succumbed to Heart Attack at Home Tuesday Afternoon.

Friends of Mrs. Mary Todd of southwest of Fayette were very greatly shocked and grieved when news of her sudden death on Tuesday became known. While Mrs. Todd had been in rather feeble health for several years her condition had been very good this winter. She was stricken very suddenly with a heart attack late Tuesday afternoon and passed away within a few minutes.
Mary J. Afflick was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky May 31, 1852. She was married to Neriah Paul Todd February 10, 1874. To this union was born ten children, seven of which survive. Two sons and one daughter who died in infancy preceeded their mother in death. Mr. Todd died in 1900. The surviving children are Eugene Todd of Oklahoma City, Neriah, Fletcher and Lee Todd of Fayette, Mrs. W. H. Taylor of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mary and Bella Todd of the home address.
Mrs. Todd was a member of the M.E. Church South of this city. She ahd lived a long and useful life.Possessed of the qualities of Christian womanhood, hospitable, generous, considerate and thoughtful of others-she was a lady of the old school. She was a woman of high ideals and was greatly beloved by all who knew her.
For fifty-four years had lived on the farm where she died.
Funeral services will be held from the residence this afternoon at One o'clock, conducted by Dr. W. M. Alexander. Interment will be made in the city cemetery.
