Mrs. James H. Hayden, age 57, and for many years a resident of this city, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 1, 1930, at her home on Water Street. She had been in declining health for some years.
Funeral services were held from the late residence Thursday afternoon and interment made in Oakwood Cemetery.
She was an active member of the Church Street Primitive Baptist Church here.
Surviving besides her husband are five children, three sons and two daughters: R. L. Hayden of Martinsville; C. M. Hayden, Bessie Hayden, Mrs. C. H. States of Roanoke; P. A. Hayden of Reidsville, N.C. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Hopkins, Danville, Va., and Mrs. J. P. Fletcher, Yadkinsville, N.C.
