Funeral services were held in Richmond Saturday afternoon for Emmett Moore Mayfield, who died at his home here Friday. Mr. Mayfield, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Mayfield, was born in aGrange but had lived in Richmond for many years. He was engaged in the oil lease business.
Mr. Mayfield suffered an attack of illness about a year ago, but had recuperated and returned to his regular tasks of business. He died suddenly last Friday after returning home from a business trip to Houston.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. T. B. Peareson of Richmond, and a brother, Joe B. Mayfield of Houston.
