Lindell B. Norvill of Lindsay, Oklahoma departed this life on June 5th, 2009 in Lindsay at the age of 85. Lindell was born in Bradley, Oklahoma on August 29th, 1923 to Jahue Vandiver Norvill and Elizabeth Kelly (Bell) Norvill. He married Louise Imogene Pratt on June 8th, 1947 at the old First Christian Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
Lindell was a long-time resident of the Bradley and Lindsay communities. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Lindell was a farmer and raised sheep and Angora goats. He was a past president of the Future Farmers of America. Lindell loved his work, and also enjoyed fishing, carpentry, remodeling and playing bridge. He also loved his dogs, Oscar and Puff.
Survivors of Mr. Norvill include his wife, Louise Norvill, one daughter, Lulyn Williams of Lindsay, Oklahoma, two grandsons, Matthew Lynn Williams and wife Jamie and Bryan Williams and wife Tiffany, and four great-grandchildren; Arica, Bo and Maddy Williams and Alyssa Allison.
Mr. Norvill was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Jahue Norvill, one son, Lindell Pratt Norvill, two brothers, Raymond and J.V. Jr. and one sister Ila Marie.
Funeral services for Mr. Norvill are set for two thirty p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with The Rev. Mr. William H. Bentley, Phd. officiating. Interment will be at Bradley Cemetery in Bradley, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
