Ida married first, John Kelly 22 Jan 1885 in Montgomery Co., Iowa. They had four children; Elmer, Roy, Mabel and John, Jr.
Not sure what happened to John Kelly. He wasn't anywhere to be found in the 1900 census. Some have this John confused with the John Kelly that married an Elizabeth.
Ida married John Swisher, at least she went by Swisher and buried as a Swisher. I have yet to find that marriage record! (Could be NE, KS or MO). In the 1915 and 1920 census, she is listed as Ida Swisher. In the 1910 Census, they said they had been married 3 years. (John first wife died 1905) In the 1920 census, her youngest son, John Kelly, Jr., is living with her. Unable to locate Ida after the 1920 census but I do believe she is buried next to John Swisher as Mrs. John Swisher. (I think his first wife, Sarah, is buried with him as well.) The picture is of John's first wife but both Ida and John are buried next to Sarah; their graves are unmarked.
