MISS SUSIE D. EADES DIES HERE TODAY
Operated Fruit Store Several Years.
Miss Susie D. Eades, life-long resident of this city, died at 7:45 o'clock this morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Johnson, 1204 East Illinois Street. Miss Eades, who had been in failing health for several years, had been critically ill the past two weeks and had undergone an emergency operation Wednesday night.
Born in Kirksville, Nov. 18, 1887, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eades. She attended the Kirksville public schools and the State Normal School (Teachers College) and for several years operated a fruit store on East Washington Street. Miss Eades was a member of the Christian Science Church.
Until September, when she moved to the home of her sister, Miss Eades resided at 810 North Franklin Street.
Surviving, besides her sister, are two brothers, Fred Eades, of Kirksville and R.F. (Dick) Eades, of Kansas City; a niece, Sarah Johnson, and a nephew, Richard Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Davis Funeral Home.
