Mark Andrew Cormack of Marland, Oklahoma, died Thursday morning, December 2, 2010, at his home in Marland at the age of 54 years.

Mark Andrew Cormack was born on July 30, 1956, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Charles Andrew and Mary (Johnson) Cormack. He grew up in Blackwell graduating from Blackwell High School in 1974. Following his education he worked in the oilfield and at various foundries.

He married Jacqueline Burson on June 17, 1977, in Enid, Oklahoma, and they settled in Enid. He later began driving a truck across the United States for National Carriers and then Glass Trucking in Newkirk where he worked until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and family, especially his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Cormack of Marland, Oklahoma; his father, Charles Cormack of Blackwell, Oklahoma; two daughters, Brandy Brookshire of Marland, Oklahoma, and Trisha Tice of Crescent, Oklahoma; three sisters, Christy Worley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sherry Oder of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Janie Sage of Wichita, Kansas; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2002.

Following cremation there will be a private family service held at a later date.
