Douglas B. Bagnell, Lt. Col. USAR (Ret.), 84, of Fairhope, died Saturday, Oct. 15. There will be a private burial. A former Deputy Administrator, Commodity Exchange Authorize, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, he was born and raised in Port Gibson, Ms. He was a Navy Veteran of WWI and an Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife: Madge J. Bagnell of Fairhope; a daughter; Mary B. Rixey of Portsmouth, Va.; and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alabama Sheriffs' Boys' Home and the St. James Episcopal Church of Fairhope.
