He was born August 29, 1896, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Emil and Mary (Malkuska) Krieger. On April 12, 1918 he was married to Lillian M. Poulsen, who preceded him in death on April 1, 1971.
Mr. Krieger came to Marcellus in 1962 and operated the Krieger Grocery and previous to that he was a milk wagon driver for Capitol Dairy Co. in Chicago.
Surviving are one son, Charles I. of Bensonville, Illinois; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Irene Adams in 1963, two sons, nearly 50 years ago and a sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 13 at 11 a.m. in the Romig Funeral Home with Father Donald Potts of the Immaculate Conception Church of Three Rivers officiating.
Burial was in Marcellus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marcellus Ambulance Fund.
