Fred Ashby Bennett was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Holden, Utah. He died at his home on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the age of 84.

Fred was a life-long resident of Holden. During his career as an insulator Fred traveled to several locations in Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming for work, but Holden was always home. In addition to his work as an insulator, Fred farmed for many years in partnership with his brother, Carl Bennett.

He is survived by his three children: Larry Bennett (Lynda) of Athena, Oregon; Toni Erling (Mike) of Paul, Idaho and Ted Bennett (Karen) of Holden, Utah. He had 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Fred was a patriot and proud veteran, having served his country during World War II. He was drafted into the Army in 1941.
