Mrs. Metts passed Tuesday November 30, 2010. She was a daughter of the late Humphrey Allen and Sudie Angnes Bledsoe. She was the widow of Roy William Metts and was married for 60 wonderful years. She enjoyed camping, crocheting and spending time with her family and dear friends. She retired from Lexington School District One and also worked for several years at Lexington County Recreation and Aging.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. Metts, grandchildren, Claudia Snelgrove, Loren Metts (Brandy), Justin Metts (Sara), Derek Metts, Kim Backman (Chuck), Tammy O'Quinn (Keith), greatâ€'grandchildren, Dustin and Brandon Snelgrove, Bryce and Kelsey Metts, Ryleigh Metts, Lara, Thomas and Kayte Backman, Mattie and Marshall O'Quinn, daughters-in-law Sammie Metts and Deborah Metts Snipes (Erbie), sister, Doris Bledsoe of Gransbury, TX, several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her sons, James W. Metts and Thomas Allen Metts, grandson, Stacy Metts, six sisters
and one brother. Pallbearers will be Loren, Justin and Derek Metts, Chuck and Thomas Backman, Keith O'Quinn, Phillip Corley, David Long, Gary and Blake Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin and Brandon Snelgrove, Dr. Horace Bledsoe, Dr. Kim Hicks, Dr. Amy Epps, Lucy Veiga and the John Wesley Sunday School Class.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to Dr. Kim Hicks, Dr. Amy Epps, Dr. Dedarian, Dr. Lal and Dr. Horace Bledsoe, Tri County Hospice, family and friends.
