In 1890 Henry owned free both his home and farm. He and Lucy had been married for 52 years and we learn that the couple had one other child, who was no longer living.
By 1900, Elias was widowed from Mary Anna Davis Bair, who, sadly, had ended her own life in 1893. Also living with the family were three granddaughters, Cora McPherson, Mary Catherine Bair and Hannah Edna Bair, the latter two being Elias and Mary's daughters. Also by this time the combined families would have been living for some time in their mansion house, complete with silver and live-in servants.
By 1910 there were two widowers living at the Bair residence. Lucy had passed away in 1903. Cora and Edna were still at home, as was Edna's brother, Lewis.
Henry died around harvest time on September 17, 1911.
