Abe Lynch, 83, of Buffalo Valley, Tenn., a retired farmer, died of a heart attack at 9:04 a.m. yesterday in St. Thomas Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Phillips Robinson
Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Road, with the Rev. Robert Lee officiating. Burial will be in Cookeville Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.

Lynch was born in Smith County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Burr Lynch, and was educated in the public schools of Chestnut Mound.

In 1897 he married the former Martha Wilkerson, who died in 1917. He had lived in Buffalo Valley for the last 35 years.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Sally Russell, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Mrs. Floy Robinson, Detroit, Mrs. Margie Homes, Nashville, Mrs. Eva Cornell, Barberton, Ohio, and Mrs. Ovah Pritchett, Madison; three sons, Willie Lynch, Oak Ridge, Oliver Lynch, Cookeville, and Leon W. Lynch, Old Hickory; a brother, Benton Lynch, Gallatin; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
