Mary Louisa Fisher was the daughter of Miers W. Fisher and Francis Brown Morrison. She married James Morrison McNutt on 16 Mar 1870 at Christ's Church, Eastville, North Hampton Co., Virginia.

On the 1900 Eastville, Northhampton County, Virginia census, Mary claims she has not had any children.

"Mary L. McNutt died on November 8th (sic) 1928 and was buried at New Providence in the grave of her departed husband Dr. James M. McNutt." From the Miers W. Fisher Bible, printed 1830, presented to "Mary L. McNutt from her father, Miers W. Fisher, June 1873" on usgwarchives Bible Records, Rockbridge County, VA -- "F" Surnames. (Yes, marker says 7th, not 8th). It's also online at the Library of Virginia.

Mary (looks like May) L McNutt was born 13 Nov 1842 near Eastville, VA, to Miers W Fisher and "Juliet A Holland." She was the widow of James M McNutt. She died 7 Nov 1928 in Eastville, Northampton, VA. VA Certificate of Death 25998.

MRS. JAMES McNUTT Mrs. Mary Fisher McNutt, widow of the late Dr. James Morrison McNutt, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, at her home in Eastville, Northhampton county, Va., after a brief illness of three weeks, though she has been in declining health for sometime. Services were conducted at New Providence church, near Brownsburf, Va., Saturday afternoon, by the pastor, Rev. C. Morton Hanna, and the body tenderly laid in the grave of her husband, who had died nearly a quarter of a century before her. Mrs. McNutt was the daughter of Judge Miers W. and Juliette Holland Fisher and was born Nov. 13, 1842. She was the last of her immediate family, but is survived by nieces and nephews, who have lovingly cared for her in her loneliness and helplessness. Those present at the funeral from a distance were: George Parramore, Sr., his daughter, Mrs. §. W. Womble and little son, Mr. and Mrs. George Parramore, Jr., and family, William Parramore and Miss Florence Henderson all from Cape Charles. Mrs. George Nichols and Mrs. J. C. Sitwell from Roanoke, Mrs. Susie McNutt Youell from Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Morton McNutt from Natural Bridge, and Miss Margaret M. Withrow from Lexington.
