Boring resident LeVada Weick, 90, died Monday, Sept. 3.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel, Gresham. Committal will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Gresham.

She was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, to Mauries Guy "Mace" and Maude Silvia (Barnes) Taylor. She and her family moved to Oregon when she was 13. She moved back to Iowa, but returned to Oregon in 1929. On Nov. 4, 1931, she married Iga Moore in Vancouver, Wash. He preceded her in death in 1946. On April 20, 1948, she married Walter Weick. They later divorced.

She moved to Boring in 1941 and worked as a waitress and a cook for several restaurants in the Gresham and Sandy areas. She later worked for Mt. Hood Cleaners in Estacada for 15 years before retiring in 1976.

Survivors include her daughter, Wyenajean Remington of Portland; sons, Iga "Bud" Moore of Boring and Bob Moore of Gresham; brothers, Homer Taylor of Portland and Lee Taylor of Bates; sister, Esther Kreamier of Fairview; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
