Archie D. Kimsey, 70, died Nov. 9, 2010, in Hubbard.
He was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Silverton to Byron and Barbara Godwin Kimsey. He attended Evergreen Grade School, graduated from Silverton High School in 1958 and served four years in the U.S. Navy.
On Sept. 22, 1995, he married Jean Strawn in Reno, Nev.
He enjoyed boating, water skiing, elk hunting, western dancing and making mechanical repairs. He farmed during his retirement years.
Survivors include his wife; son, Duane; daughter, Trina Jungkeit; stepsons, David Hakes and James Ball; stepdaughters, Cathy Moser and Barbara Bell Chaney; brother, Kenneth Bryon Kimsey; sister, Ella "Kim" Marie Kimsey Nugent; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham.
