Reed Weaver, 79, of Delphi, died at 9:28 p.m. Jan. 27, 1991, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where he had been a patient two days.
Born Nov. 6, 1911, in Tippecanoe County, he was the son of Clarence Earl and Matilda Schultz Weaver.
His marriage was on May 30, 1937, in Delphi, to Mildred R. Gerard, who died March 9, 1987.
He worked at the former Swift & Co., in Delphi from 1932 to 1957. He also was employed at Ray's Dairy in Logansport from 1957 to 1974, and then was custodian at Hillcrest Elementary School for seven years. In recent years, he was a maintenance worker for the Senior Citizens Housing in Delphi.
A 1930 graduate of Delphi High School, he was a member of the Delphi Christian Church and IOOF Lodge in Delphi.
Surviving are one son, Gary L. Weaver of Anderson; two daughters, Judy Rutledge of Frankfort and Karen Loveall of Pocahontas, Ill.; two brothers, Pete Weaver of Delphi and Wilbur "Dutch" Weaver of West Lafayette; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor David Futrell officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund or Carroll County Cancer Association.
