Grace Moreau Hudson, 93, of Headrick, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in English Village Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Olustee Baptist Church with Doug Altom officiating. Burial will follow at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Grace Burnett was born Nov. 27, 1917, to John W. and Winnie (Cook) Burnett at Olustee. She graduated from the Olustee School in 1935. She married Bennie Moreau Sr. on Nov. 7, 1935, and to this union three children were born. Mr. Moreau preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1966.

She attended nursing training at Green Belt Vocational School of Nursing in Crowell, Texas, graduating in November 1969, and worked in the Texas and Oklahoma areas until her retirement.

Grace married Hilton Hudson of Headrick on Feb. 2, 1971. Grace was very active in her earlier years in the Olustee Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron. She was also active in the Olustee First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed her association with garden clubs in the area.

Grace did "chalk talk" illustrations on the chalk board as the minister preached Sundays at the old Olustee Baptist Church. She also painted the baptistry at the old Olustee Baptist Church with her daughter, Mary Beth, helping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bennie Moreau; her second husband, Hilton Hudson on Dec. 4, 2005; one brother, Milton Burnett; one sister, Iris Young; and one sister-in-law, Carol Burnett.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Kay Hall and husband Delbert of Nixa, Mo.; Mary Beth Forbes and husband Jim of Blair; one son, Bennie Moreau and wife Judy of Altus; two step daughters, Lynda Hudson Taylor of Altus, and Sharon Boeger of Kansas; two brothers, John A. Burnett and wife Laverne of Texas, and Kenneth Burnett of Vernon, Texas; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
