Willia was born April 25, 1902 in Mt. Hope WV. She was the daughter of the late Hal Brook and Ethel Julia Owens Hundley. She passed away on December 27, 1995 after a short stay in Grambling, LA.
In addition to her daughter, Thelma Williams, she is survived by seven grandchildren: Carla Y. Washington-Hines, Alyson D. Williams, Alicia D. Williams, Lynn S. Whitfield, Kimberleigh Butler-Smith, Valerian Edward Butler-SmithII and Shawn Smith; one niece, Jean Walker Henderson; also seven great-grandchildren: Zaira Y. Washington-Hines, David C Azodeh and Andrew C. Azodeh, Grace Willia Victoria de Vall Gibson, Victoria Halbrooke Langston, Elizabeth Ashland Vall Langston and Alan Andrew Langston, one son-in-law, Dr. Allen Williams, former daughter-in-law, Valeria Jean Butler, one sister-in-law, Varetta B. Hundley, grandsons-in-law, Lovett Hines, Martin Alan Langston MD; godchild, Suzanne Mynette Mayo Theus; and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Halbrook and Ethel Julia Hundley, son, Dr. Valerian Smith, sisters, Aurelia Walker and Addie B. Canada, brothers, Valerian and Charles Hundley, her grandson William Calton Washington and her husband, Dr. D.E. Smith. Mrs. Smith was the last member of the Hundley family.
