VARNUM, A. D., 76, of Fairview, N.C., formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (March 22, 1995) at St. Joseph's Hospital, Asheville, N.C. He was born in Holmes County, Fla., and moved to North Carolina nine years ago from Hillsborough County, where he ha lived since 1941. He was a mechanic for Central Truck Lines for 27 years and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a member of Fellowship Lodge 265, F&AM, and the Low 12 Club of Tampa. Survivors include his wife, Geneva; a son, Michael D., Lakeland; a stepson, Tommy Spivey, Fairview; four daughters, Sandra Jean Riddle, Brandon, Linda Gail Brewer, Tampa, and Donna Sue Crowe and Denise Marie Varnum, both of Plant City; two stepdaughters, Linda S. Crawford and Tammy S. Mundy, both of Ashevill e; a sister, Rachel Lewis, Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon.
