Mrs. Russelle Hathaway Horr, 86, died yesterday at 136 Main Street following a lengthy illness.
Born here, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Russell and Mrs. Mollie Hathaway. She was a graduate of Wellington High School, class of 1896. For many years, she worked as a life insurance underwriter for the Equitable Life Insurance Co., Cleveland, retiring in the late 40's. She moved from Cleveland in 1954 to Whittier California where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Molly Gordon Rutherford. She and her daughter returned to Wellington the early part of this year. Friends will be received from 7-9 Monday at Norton Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev William Fortner, pastor of the First Unitarian Church officiating. Private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the institute for Medical Research, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, Calif., for research in multiple sclerosis."
